Twin Pleat are also known as double pinch pleat curtains. They have a double fold at the top to create a double pleat. They are more contemporary than triple pleats and stack efficiently with a sleek line.
Double pleats are a good choice for patterned fabrics as less of the pattern is gathered into the fold. At Sue Whimster we make our double pleat curtains using 2 x fullness (twice as much fabric as the width of the pole or hanging system). Double pleat curtains can be made unlined, lined or lined and interlined.
How do Twin pleat curtains work?
Sets of two folds are sewn into the header of the fabric at regular intervals in a neat row of ‘V’s. This double pleat uses more fabric than a single pinch pleat, creating a fuller double thickness, more sumptuous curtain with plenty of body.
